Beech Tree Base is part of Caslon Primary Community School in Cradley, Halesowen. We are a 12-place provision with a high staff to pupil ratio. Our ethos is nurturing with positive relationships at the core of our approach.
Beech Tree has two large classrooms, break out spaces, sensory room, play area and a sensory garden for pupils to use daily.
Our curriculum involves delivery of national curriculum subjects in a flexible manner which is tailored to the needs of each individual. Enrichment activities including; gardening, outdoor learning, cookery and other creative are a key part of our daily offer with pupil wellbeing at the heart. Therapeutic approaches such as Lego Therapy, Zones of Regulation and Drawing and Talking are also used.
Our learning environment offers further resources such as a dark tent, weighted blankets and soft furnishings, for pupils to access when they need some time to calm down and self-regulate.
The staff team is made up of experienced educational professionals with a passion for working with pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health Needs.
